Alpe del Gesero - Arbedo

I climbed the route to the Gesero, which is sort of my home village mountain (Im from Arbedo, the starting point of this difficult climb), together with my mate Florian on August 18th, 2007. It is a very difficult climb, since you spend about two hours riding toward the Gesero at a gradient of at least 8% (without any flat section!). But the real challenge are the kilometers 11-13 having an inclination between 10.5 and almost 13%. What finally eased our effort were the magnificent surroundings, encompassing beautiful forests and idyllic creeks. After 2 hours and 10 minutes we reached our goal, the Capanna del Gesero, and we were glad to have experienced such an interesting and exhausting climb!
