Colle di Sampeyre - crossroad in Valle Maira

The Colle di Sampeyre is rather difficult. A climbed him after climbing the Madonna del Coletto and the Colle di Fauniera. So my judge may be a bit distorted by the previous efforts. But the facts say enough, it aint easy. In the first kilometres you will pass a couple of villages and you will drive through the woods. Sometimes the view over the narrow and deep valley will cut off your breath. Or is it the slope of the climb. I dont know. The last 6 kms you will be driving above the timber line in the meadows. Attention: dangerous descent to Sampeyre, lot of gaps in the road.
